Which Is Your Best Blog Post?

Which post do you feel the most proud of?  Which most represents who you are, or who you aspire to be as a blogger?

Which one would you pull out of the bag if someone were to ask for an example of you at your blogging best?

Cause that’s what I’m doing today.

There are so many bloggers, so many great blogs out there, that it can be hard to get noticed, hard to find people interested in reading yours.  And inevitably when they do come by to see you, you are having one of those crappy posting days when you really aren’t at your best and you hurriedly threw a few words together just to post something.

So today you get the chance to shine, pull out your best post, dust it off and leave a link to it in the comments section and then go browsing through the others on offer.

Lets all get to know each other a little more.

If I were to pull one out, it would be this one: Word Verificartion: A filth filled rant. Not because of its brilliance or how well crafted it is, but because of how much right now, after just reading through 167 posts on various blogs, it resonates with how I am feeling.

Mainly because it is about another doofus move on my part — and it involves my one and only attempt at speed-dating: http://crustaceanview.blogspot.com/2008/02/steaki-love-steaksteakhouses-steak.html

  2. flyingstartmag - Manda says:

Morning! Hmmm… I’ve not been blogging long enough to have to go through hundreds of posts… But…

My best post would have to be the SECOND one I wrote – but cause it was a sensible subject, I mentioned it on the magazine’s website and it got 26 comments!!! So for 26 comments on a brand new blog, that has to be my best – it’s here:
    Pink Stinks:
    http://flyingstartmag.blogspot.com/2009/12/pink-stinks.html

And for who I really am…
    Well, either:

Off to a meeting today so will check back later to look at everyone elses!! xx

  3. notesfromlapland says:

That was brilliant! I challenge anyone to read that and not want to
    subscribe to your blog!

  4. Rachel says:

p.s. Just went and turned off the word verification for the time being. I had a spam problem in the past, but I’m going to try having it off again as well as let comments go on without approval. (I has them set for needing approval if the post was older than 3 days.) Finger crossed!

  5. notesfromlapland says:

i am so thrilled you did! Yeay! thank you! Whats the worst that can
happen? so you need to delete a few spam comments, it’s not the end of the
    world, huh?

  6. notesfromlapland says:

i remember reading that pink stinks one – a very good post, well worth a
read. shall go and investigate the others now…

  7. Josie says:

Ooh I like this! Shall enjoy reading these later.

I’ve been head scratching for ten minutes but I think I’m going to go with this one:

    http://www.sleepisfortheweak.org.uk/2009/12/09/writing-workshop-mama/

It’s something I wrote for one of my writing workshops and although I don’t think it’s the best thing I’ve ever written, I loved the response it received and I think it’s probably a good representation of what my blog is about (namely trying to figure out the mystery that is my boy!)

And a big Mwah back to you for saying they’re all good. I shall pay you in divine cake from our collective cake deity later xx

  8. Annie says:

I think the one that sums me up would be this one http://annie170768.blogspot.com/2010/01/2009-photographically.html

Mainly because it sums me up as a person both visually and by showing the things that make me tick. it shows what matters to me. I could have posted one of my rants or one of my soul bearing posts, but this one is basically me.

I’ll pop back and read through the other links once I get short and shouty to school.

  9. vegemitevix says:

I’m pretty pants at this and have absolutely no idea which is my best post. I’ll go and have some coffee, try and wake up and have a think. NB/ I think all your posts are bloody brilliant. x

  10. MissSearles says:

I’d probably say mine is this one
    http://misssearles.blogspot.com/2010/01/stories-and-songs-meme-reason-why-i.html
If I find I’m strugeling with whats going on at the moment I can go back and re-read it (and i have done quite a few times the past week) and remember the positive feeling I had when I wrote it.
Still not quite brave enough to come out showing the real me in my posts yet but I think this is the post that give the most away about me.

  11. Spilt Milk says:

This is a great idea for a post.
I’m finding it a little difficult to contribute, because my blog jumps around a lot between personal reflection, attempts at mommy-blogger style humour, and activism. But I picked this post because it’s sort of personal and sort of ranty and fits nicely into the parenting/feminism/fat acceptance subjects which are my main focus.

  12. Him Up North says:

I tend to find my best blogpost is always my last one. Conversely, my worst blogpost is always the one I’m currently working on. Go figure. :-)

If I were to pick one I’d go for Gordon Brown calls the National Bullying Helpline http://bit.ly/9gCmAC

I had lots of fun writing this one and it drew both the biggest response and most visitors of any post so far. Being the story of the day helped too!

  14. Elisa says:

My favorite one is the one where I write about being in a coffee shop with 4 other adults and we are singing old macdonald..It shows part of my personality and describes the new phase in my life. Living in a foreign culture nagivating through the language barriers.

  15. Elisa says:

    OOPs guess I forgot to include the link;

    http://croatia-eolivas.blogspot.com/2010/01/expats-in-croatia-sing-old-macdonald.html

and I guess I should also include this one about why I chose Croatia

  16. Steve says:

Wow. so many to choose from (he says with an arrogant flourish). Despite being tempted to revitalize some very early stuff I’ve decided to go with this fairly recent post about my grandfather as it has a great deal of resonance for me: Silent Night. I hope it strikes a chord with people.

  17. newmummy says:

I would to say that this post http://mummynew.blogspot.com/2009/11/becoming-my-mother-my-deep-dark-fear.html is my best so far, it was a hard post to write but I felt better afterwards, it also inspired two other bloggers to write a post.

On the word verification thing, I switched mine off just to get a huge spam attack, so its back on now. I personally find having to fill in my name and email address everytime I want to post a comment just as, if not more annoying

  18. meagan adele lopez says:

This was the entry that gave me my first blog award from the wonderful Smitten by Britain.

What a fab and generous idea Notes From Lapland. Thanks. My favourite and most responded to post was perhaps slightly controversial, but it was honest and seemed to resonate with a lot of other mothers: http://singleparenthoodbygappy.blogspot.com/2010/01/i-know-i-shouldnt-say-this-but.html

  20. Mwa says:

What a question! I just spent ages going through all my posts, and I’m finding it so hard to pick! Do I pick the one with the most comments, the funniest one, the most heartfelt one – oooh. Tough one.
    I’ve decided to go with
    http://mwaonline.blogspot.com/2009/10/gay-porn-part-iii.html
    - my first animation.
I completely agree with you on the word verification, by the way. It’s so antisocial, and I’ve had some rants about that as well.

  21. Lottie Lockwood says:

You are hilarious! I’d like to stop and chat but I must go and check my settings to make sure verification is well and truly off!

One of my fave posts is about a book I’m gonna write – a twist on that old classic A JOY OF SEX – because one day it’s going to earn me a fortune!

    http://nowineonwednesdays.blogspot.com/2009/11/joy-of-motherhood.html

  22. peabee72 says:

I’ve always loved your post on word verification….and I think, generally, the posts that just explode onto the page are the best- they have a pace and a rhythm that the more well thought out posts often can’t attain.

I found this really hard. I have my favourite posts for lots of different reasons and one in particular is very personal but I didn’t want to use that here. So this http://battleplan.wordpress.com/2010/01/27/paranoia/ is the one I chose because, I suppose it’s the one that comes closest to describing ‘me’ and reminded me that I have another unfinished project in my life!

    Lovely idea H, thanks xx

  23. Antonella says:

Cannot believe that you’re actually writing from Lapland! WOW! It’s a place I’ve always wanted to go! Sooner or later ….I don’t put too much effort in my posts but I try to be genuine and write on what’s important for me, not necessary to get more readers. Anyway, my favourite post is the one I wrote yesterday. Maybe just because I was (and still) so proud of what my daughter and her friends organized and achieved. The link is http://lunarossa-livingabroad.blogspot.com/2010/02/big-swap.html. All the best. Ciao. A

  24. Natural Mummy says:

This is my current favourite, I think because the writing style sort of reflects how my mind works as a Mummy – flitting around and never relaxing or concentrating much!

    http://naturalmummy.blogspot.com/2010/02/my-kind-of-place-not.html

  25. vegemitevix says:

I’ve chosen two and it was hard because it’s taken me a while to find my blogging voice. Mother Knows Best – I wrote this after getting off the phone and I was so brassed off and conflicted. I think it describes so many women’s relationships with their own mum http://vegemitevix.com/2009/12/09/mother-knows-best/

and the other series of posts that made lots of people laugh and had lots of inlinks to have been the getting back into the dating swing starting with http://vegemitevix.com/2010/02/04/an-attractive-older-woman/ Hope they make you laugh this Friday. I put myself out there for the sake of your belly laughs!! lol!

  26. Barbara says:

Here’s mine. It’s my best one (I think) because I don’t often write about personal stuff. This one is from the heart.

    http://bsouth.wordpress.com/2010/01/26/planning/

Now I’m looking forward to the 26 odd new blogs I’ve got to go and have a look at!

  27. Trish @ Mum's Gone to says:

I’ve chosen a post I wrote during our holiday in Canada in 2008. It typifies the sort of holiday squabbles I have with my husband if we’re driving. I don’t think the post was ever read by anyone as it was posted before I joined BMB and became part of the blogging community

    http://mumsgoneto.blogspot.com/2009/11/mums-gone-to-canada-day-eleven-satnavs.html

  28. Susan Mann says:

I am enjoying reading all the best blogposts, but I haven’t been a blogger long enough to have one :( Next year maybe xx

  29. mummy bear says:

Hi heather…I think my favourite blogs are my earliest…you’d think I would have grown with my blog. Maybe because in the early days I was only writing for me, yet now I do feel slight pressure. I do like the blogs when I can get deep about my feelings, as it helps me, seems to help readers, and just has more reason for existing…although its something I struggle with, but have wowed to do more!!!!!

  30. Dara says:

Can’t wait to read through all of these. Funny I was thinking my post today would be a posting of all the posts from other people’s blogs I think is best.
I could tell you my favourite posts on anyone else’s blog, but mine . . .
    I don’t have that many you know . . .
I’ll think about it and be back later.
I seriously cannot wait to read through all these. Thanks for doing my work for me today Heather!

  31. Sniff says:

Good question! Since I’ve only been blogging a couple of months, I’ve yet to write my best post, I think. But I’m working on it! :)

  32. Crystal Jigsaw says:

I’m not sure. I wrote a lot of paranormal posts in the first year of blogging and feel some of them are probably the best written, even though I didn’t get as much acknowledgement for them as I get for posts written today. Here’s one as an example: http://crystaljigsaw.blogspot.com/2008/07/old-photograph.html

    CJ xx

  33. Rosie Scribble says:

I’m not sure I have a best post. I certainly have posts that have had more hits compared to others, and other posts that I have had fun writing. There is one post that stands out for me and probably always will. I used to have 25 readers a day, then one day last October I woke up and wrote a post from the heart. I was astounded at the number of readers and the debate and comment it generated. Here is it is :
    http://rosiescribble.typepad.com/rosie-scribble/2009/10/blogging-is-not-a-competitive-sport.html

  34. Kelly says:

One of the main attractions to blogging for me is all about the catharsis of getting something written down that has been upsetting or bothering me. Then finding out that I am not alone, and that everyone else out there has the same sorts of problems too. The post that came to mind when I was thinking about that was this one:

    http://youfoundkelshidingplace.blogspot.com/2009/10/f-word.html

The comments that I got were amazing, and as hard as it was to write that post, I am so completely glad that I did.

  35. irishmammy says:

    Hi
Great initiative btw! I am not sure it is my ‘best’ post and I am not sure that I am most proud of it, but I know it was difficult to write it and I felt better when it was on paper. It was emotionally draining and I didn’t think I would write it as I felt like such a failure around this time. Also there were many raw emotions and I was undecided about being so ‘open’ about my life on the blog. However, once I had written it and sent it live, it was like I was freed from these torturous thoughts. So for that reason I select this one – http://irish-mammy.blogspot.com/2009/06/2nd-c-section.html

  36. Insomniac Mummy says:

Gosh, I’m not sure what my ‘best’ post would be. There are a couple that represent the real life me:

This one about losing my Mum as a child – http://www.insomniacmummy.com/2009/10/through-eyes-of-child.html

And this one about being bullied for having red hair – http://www.insomniacmummy.com/2009/12/ginger-kid-common-acceptance-of.html

Great idea! I shall go have a nosey at everyone elses now….

  37. letempsjadis says:

I am not much of a writer, I don’t have a favorite post.

I tried to do without word verification for a couple of weeks recently. I don’t mind removing the comments, but I don’t want others to have to read the spam. So I changed it back. I only have a small blog with a small “flock”, they don’t seem to mind.

  38. Dara says:

So I went into analytics and checked out which one had the most views and it was this one http://www.readilyaparent.com/2010/02/these-are-my-married-life-fantasies.html
But that’s probably just because the word “fantasies” is in the title. Thought it does seem people are actually reading it, as the bounce rate was rather low.
I kind of like this one, though http://www.readilyaparent.com/2010/01/money-saving-mondays-food-waste-wasted.html as it is informative AND entertaining and it speaks to the ideal we’re trying to manage as a family: more natural foods, less waste, more simple living.
But lately I’ve been writing a few I actually really like. Including the sex ed one, so it’s actually kind of hard to decide.

  39. mari66 says:

Damn me for coming on here so late in the day!
I still can’t get myself organised but hey, I love your blog and I’d like to thank you for making me feel so welcome in the blogosphere.

I don’t have many blogs to choose from but I’d go with this http://marisworld.wordpress.com/2010/02/24/far-far-away/ because from a simple writing prompt, a whole lot more came out that made me stop and think.
More than just a writing prompt in the end.
    love this idea :)

  40. EmmaK says:

This will tickle your funny bone if you’ve ever wondered if soul mates exist: http://mommyhasaheadache.blogspot.com/2010/02/are-you-my-ying-am-i-your-yang.html

But if you just want to see me making a prat of myself in 80s garb go here (warning: neon pink legging alert)

  41. IotaM says:

Somebody a while ago (was it Mwa? I think it was) challenged everyone to take off their word verifications. I did so, and I haven’t had any trouble with spam. If I ever do, I suppose I’ll switch it back on again, but for the time being, I’m reociwsntwknasodiheqwhirnpowknrewervj verification free.

  42. notesfromlapland says:

oh i remember this one – a beautiful post Josie. you had me in tears again by the end.

  43. notesfromlapland says:

Bloody hell woman, what amazing photos. do you do that professionally? and how do you get that black background

  44. notesfromlapland says:

oh come on now woman, you’re making me blush

  45. notesfromlapland says:

Great song, great thoughts. i’m sure it will brighten up soon.

  46. noblesavage says:

With five years of blog posts to choose from this was tough but I’d have to say this one http://noblesavage.me.uk/2007/09/11/crumble/

That was written with such raw emotion that I barely remembered writing it when I had finished. It was like my brain and my fingers just operated independently. It was surreal.

One of my favourite light-hearted posts is this one, Mrs. Robot-o http://noblesavage.me.uk/2009/04/23/mrs-robot-o/

Great idea, I’m off for a read of some of the fab selection shown here!

  47. notesfromlapland says:

What a great post! i loved this, so thought provoking and almost initiated a rant about dress sizes and shops that label their clothes so that they are a size or two smaller than what it says on the label – how do they shops ever sell their size 8 stuff – they wouldn’t fit anybody that had been through puberty. Did I say almost? Whoops.

  48. notesfromlapland says:

ha ha, yes i loved this one.

  49. notesfromlapland says:

This was funny. I’ve sat and done similar things here in Finland before now!

  50. notesfromlapland says:

wow. I tell you what, anyone reading this, if you read only one post out of all these comments, read this one. This one is going to stay with me.

  51. notesfromlapland says:

Crikey, I had no idea it was all so difficult. great post.

  52. notesfromlapland says:

I remember reading this post, such a brave and honest thing to write.

  53. notesfromlapland says:

This is fabulous and something I can identify with so well.

  54. Emily O says:

I think this one, which ironically has hardly any writing in it http://babyrambles.blogspot.com/2009/09/thats-not-my-mummy.html

  55. notesfromlapland says:

Absolutely bloody brilliant woman! Loved it!

  56. notesfromlapland says:

ha ha, wonderful. a bit of gay clown porn to brighten up my day.

  57. notesfromlapland says:

I remember reading this one, i loved it and the comments! Fabulous.

  58. notesfromlapland says:

I loved this post, sometimes you remind me so much of me!

  59. notesfromlapland says:

And so you should feel proud! wow, what a thing to organise!

  60. notesfromlapland says:

oh yes, I understand the way that feels, the mind jumping form one thing to another. some days it feels as though I will never have a coherent thought of longer than 6 syllables again.

  61. notesfromlapland says:

You are one of those wonderful bloggers whose every post i love. You really work hard to craft them, or you are ridiculously talented and they just flow out of you like that, but I think these two are my absolute favourites of yours.

  62. notesfromlapland says:

As I’ve only found you lbog these last couple of weeks that was anew one on me – I thought it was great, i worry about the school thing too. A very heart felt post.

  63. Annie says:

Thanks :) and Nope, I’m just an amateur who photographs anything that moves and anything that stands still for long enough LOL. The black background is just a black cloth draped over whatever I can find to drape it over at the time. I’m cheap and cheeful (according to the rumours lol)

  64. notesfromlapland says:

you tell such a great story – I remember reading your whale watching one first and subscribing instantly. Loved this and love the idea of those underground walkways and shops. how very clever, we could do with some of that here!

  65. notesfromlapland says:

I’ve ony been reading your blog for about a week so I just went and had a quick look and I really liked this one

    http://susankmann.blogspot.com/2010/02/nursery.html

It was so heart felt and brought tears to my eyes. I hope you don’t mind me putting this link here.

  66. notesfromlapland says:

the ones we write from deep within us are often the best aren’t they? so cathartic for both us to write and for people to read and identify with and know they are now alone. is there any particular one you want to share with us?

  67. notesfromlapland says:

anytime, my love, any time ;)

  68. notesfromlapland says:

then what is your favourite so far?

  69. vegemitevix says:

Thank you that truly is one of the most wonderful comments I’ve ever had. Especially special as it comes from not only from a fab new friend but from someone whose writing I so admire! x

  70. notesfromlapland says:

this is the first descriptive writing piece of yours i have read and i must say, i like it a lot. Am looking forward to your book after reading this.

  71. notesfromlapland says:

This is a great post and some fantastic comments. I’m guessing this is from when the tots100 index first started? It is great to read everybodys thoughts on it all.

  72. notesfromlapland says:

Such an honest and heartfelt post.

i was just talking to someone today about the cathartic feeling of writing what you really feel, of getting it all out of you and straight in your mind and then the wonderful feeling you get when people reposnd to it, identify with it, offer help and support. This is the best thing about blogging.

  73. notesfromlapland says:

It is amazing how much better you can feel once you have written it down, isn’t it? for me it’s like letting the obnoxious gas that poisons your happiness out of your head and being bale to resume life.

I could feel your frustration and anger in this post. the disappointment and fear. I’m glad writing it helped.

  74. notesfromlapland says:

ooh, this one was good. a real thought provoker. thank you.

  75. notesfromlapland says:

Thank you. The first one had me in tears, the second had me angry. You write so well, i love reading your posts.

  76. notesfromlapland says:

Look at us, it’s like a little love fest! Christ we’ll be making people sick, quick say something insulting…

  77. notesfromlapland says:

oh no, but where do I we find you? At least give us a link to your blog? no? It is quite possible that i already read it but I don’t recognise your user name and the link when i click on your name here doesn’t work.

  78. vegemitevix says:

Yeah it’s quite pukey really! lol! I could be really bitchy and say … actually can’t. Pathetic I am. Can’t think of nasty shit. Sorry.

  79. notesfromlapland says:

I love that about you. The way you are all confident and ‘you know what I love my writing, see, isn’t it great.’ and it is! that writing letters to you husband one was so funny, i remember reading it the first time around and every time I now start having one of those in my head conversations i laugh and think of you!

  80. Sandy Calico says:

I’ve just been reading through some amazing posts, some new, others I wanted to read again.
I think my best post is this:
    http://sandycalico.blogspot.com/2009/09/i-cant-find-my-little-boy.html
I wrote it when I got home from playgroup, the afternoon Presley went missing. I still find it difficult to read.

  81. notesfromlapland says:

I am so crap at organisation, its a wonder I ever get anything done! I loved this prompt and your postcard. It was a very powerful one.

i’m sorry i missed your reply in the comments – i have replied to it now.

  82. Dara says:

Ah darn, I’m actually not that confident. But I find that if I pretend I am and act like I am then I forget I’m not. It’s the same thing with my shyness and my inability to be thoughtful and sappy without a joke.

This was a great idea. I was just going to blog my favourite posts from other blogs today, but you went the thoughtful extra mile and blogged asking what our own favourite posts are. So sweet!

I love all your posts. I think you’re bleeding brilliant and I’m a teensy bit jealous, but in an I-want-to-achieve-that kind of way rather than an I-want-to-kill-her-and-eat-her-brains-to-steal-her-talent kind of way (see what I mean about the dumb jokes).

Every single friggin time I’m asked to enter word verification on a comment I think of your post and want to refer the blogger to it.

  83. notesfromlapland says:

Bloody hell woman, you had me in stitches!

  84. notesfromlapland says:

This was lovely. It didn’t bring tears but a wry smile. A recognition that i will go through this one day and no doubt have the same mixture of happy sad feelings. Lovely.

  85. notesfromlapland says:

And I for one applaud you for it! I hate the confounded things!

  86. catherineosborn says:

Thank you for taking the time to read all these posts and give feedback. Much respect!

The first one, wow, I am moping up tears and your mothers response in the comments…and then you go all robot on me and the tears turn to ones of laughter! Would love to have been at their dinner table too!

    I think I love you.

  88. notesfromlapland says:

Absolutely brilliant! Loved this so much, such an inspired post!

  89. notesfromlapland says:

I found it a bit hard to read, a bit too close to something that happened to me once. But it was good, very good. Wow, my head is swimming a bit now after that, repressing feeling and thoughts.

  90. notesfromlapland says:

that’s what i’d heard about you ;) they are great, am super impressed.

  91. notesfromlapland says:

You are welcome – i love reading them. Its funny but before i had kids i never understood short stories and i would never have liked blogging and reading blogs, i always wanted long novels but these days blog posts are just the right length for me and my addled brain.

  92. notesfromlapland says:

Always good to hear you don’t want to eat my brains…I think… ;)

I reckon my best blog post is this one from this week. It prompted a bit of discussion and I really feel like I spoke my own mind rather than writing for the audience. http://www.mellowmummy.co.uk/2010/02/nct-expensive-introductions-agency.html

Well I’ve not wrtten many but am pretty proud of todays :

It’s a new angle in ways of writing for me but I was inspired by some of the blogs I have read this week so I thank all the mummy bloggersfor their ace posts and their inspiration!

I’m going to take a deep breath and say this one … only because it wasn’t meant to be what it turned out to be. If it can help one person out there in a similar situation, however, then it was worth it.

You must be exhausted reading all these posts. Thank you for your lovely comments: as always you make the effort to reply and that’s very much appreciated. I’m enjoying reading these tonight. Good on yer, girl!

  101. babygenie says:

It has to be this post for me – because when I published it I got a text from my Dad saying what a brilliant piece of writing it was, and for me, that is the biggest compliment I’ve had in my life

This is a great and generous idea and I’ve enjoyed reading some of these great posts – my pc been down all day so been short of time to read them all! I don’t think any of mine have been good enough to stand alongside these, so do this again in a few months time and I will join in the fun!

  103. Sharon Fried-Jones says:

I have to be honest and say that I haven’t written it yet!

  104. SarahMaeLennox says:

Wow… looking through your old posts is very informative. It’s amazing how you can proof a post so many times and still have typo’s. But this is one of my best… it’s a review of Nicholas Sparks’ “Dear John”.

  105. notesfromlapland says:

It’s great to get a reaction to posts that you write from the heart isn’t it! I enjoyed this one, it raised some interesting points.

  106. notesfromlapland says:

And a fabulous post it was too. So real and from the heart.

  107. notesfromlapland says:

And me! that was great. the picture was slightly disturbing but the post was awesome! ;)

  108. notesfromlapland says:

Good god woman, you are amazing! Do you even know how utterly in awe of you I am?

  109. notesfromlapland says:

wow, those tree stumps are amazing. Have just been having a nosey around simon’s website – what a talented guy!

  110. notesfromlapland says:

There are some super posts, aren’t there? I’ve laughed, cried, and sat opened mouthed through most of them.

  111. notesfromlapland says:

am a bit spooked by your photo – you look so familiar.

  112. notesfromlapland says:

    you’re on.

  113. notesfromlapland says:

Well maybe if I do this again in a few months time you can let us see your favourite then?

  114. notesfromlapland says:

Agh! there’s no link here to you post or your blog!

  115. notesfromlapland says:

This is wonderful Amber and really resonated with me. Thank you, it is so good to know I am not alone thinking these things.

  116. Metajugglamum says:

Thank you, that is so kind but please, please don’t think this; there is so much more that goes on behind the scenes which makes me far from deserving … so much anger, frustration, pure & utter exhausted grumpiness!! .. the list goes on. I have not succeeded yet and therefore deserve no praise for the journey.
This is a great forum and a wonderful, considerate idea … thank you for the time and effort and dedication you have put into it. x

  117. babygenie says:

I’m not sure, I do get that quiite alot!! Do email me and we’ll see if we can figure out if we have met!

  119. babieswhobrunch says:

wow – great idea to ask. i will have fun reading some of these. i also just had fun scanning some of mine. i agree with what someone said about liking your most recent one. but instead, i’ve gone waaaaaaaay back and plucked out this. doubt it’s the best, but i remember v well how i felt when i wrote it. and to be honest, most of the time i still do feel like that.

My most read post is called How to Catch a Crab, I think that’s because it does what it says on the tin. http://itsasmallworldafterallfamily.wordpress.com/2009/05/30/how-to-catch-a-crab/ I’m proud of some of my recent writing workshop posts too, because they feel like they are a long way from my early posts.

  121. notesfromlapland says:

ha ha, i liked this, great first post!

  122. notesfromlapland says:

stuckhome syndrome – i know it well :)

  123. notesfromlapland says:

I loved this post. I agree about liking the most recent too – it is great to look back and see how your writing develops and changes, isn’t it? Even over these short 4 months i’ve been blogging I can see such a difference
