Don’t You People Ever Bloody Listen?
So that’s probably not going to win me any awards for most gracious thank you speech in the world, huh?
When I told you not to nominate me for the Mads, I really did mean it, it wasn’t a ploy to get more votes or anything like that.
But you bloody buggers went and nominated me anyway and got me as far as the FINALS for the most innovative blogger!
Holy crap!
Bloody buggers.
Now I feel like a prize wassock (I’m all for bringing the word wassock back into circulation by the way, anyone with me on this?) for being all ‘don’t vote for me’.
Not only that but you also voted for, and got into the finals, some of the awesome blogs I asked you to vote for, which really makes me feel all a bit teary eyed*. You’re awesome you lot!

But don’t worry, I’m not going to go all gushy and write one of those ‘thank you so much *sob* you all mean so much to me, each and every one of you’ speeches cause let’s face it, you read ‘em and roll your eyes, wondering what it is exactly the blogger is after this time, right?
So this isn’t one of those posts. Okay?
But just take it as read that all of the above is actually true. Bah, you know that anyway.
So what do I want, am I going to get all arsey and say don’t vote for me?
Hell, are you kidding, have you seen those prizes? Most innovative blogger wins a laptop, a digi camera, a scanner/printer, an ipod and other cool stuff donated by Bitdefender.
Although that said, the don’t vote for me thing worked, albeit inadvertently, before, so yeah, what ever you do, don’t vote for me, ahem. I really really don’t need a new digi camera and really would hate to be given a brand new laptop. That would suck *cough cough*
But mostly I’m not going to do that because I don’t throw things back in peoples faces. You were all amazing and kind to vote for me, despite my wassock (it is a great word, don’t you agree?) moment of asking you not to.
You chose me.
No amount of trying to come up with ways to say thank you that look real and genuine can find the right words.

I’m pretty choked.

I feel like I'm sort of stuck on the outer reaches of the unfashionable arm of the galaxy – there are a good number of blogs in the shortlists I've never heard of – it was a bit like reading the Lottery numbers – when you stare blankly and think “What do you mean 36? 36 is a number between 1 and 49? it is? there you go now”
