Dark, twisted and intriguing Elizabeth Haynes’ latest novel, Human Remains, opens up a whole new side of human life and what ifs.
“How well do you know your neighbours? Would you notice if they lived or died?
A chilling thriller and a hymn to all the lonely people, Elizabeth Haynes’ new novel preys on our darkest fears, showing how vulnerable we are when we live alone – and how easily ordinary lives can fall apart when no one is watching.”
I loved this book, it was such a page turner – one of those books that’s makes you stay up long after bedtime to read just one more chapter. I read it in just a couple of days, desperate as I was to find out what was going to happen.
It led you down some pretty strange and creepy avenues and certainly makes you wonder, if you didn’t have any close family in this world, how easily could you simply disappear? Would anybody actually notice?
Human Remains is Elizabeth’s third novel and by far her best yet, and seeing as how much I loved her first that’s really saying something. It’s also very exciting: I can’t wait to see which dark and twisted road she leads us down next.
